Webinar Series | “Bridging the Gap: Academics and Practitioners in Sustainable Finance” (2/5)

The aim of this webinar series is to build a bridge between academic research and practitioners in the field of sustainable finance. The idea is that a researcher presents findings from sustainable finance studies, which are then discussed by practitioners, particularly with regard to their practical application.

The webinar series is exclusively designed for employees of member institutions. Participation is free of charge.

Content

Sustainability reporting and sustainability ratings seem to be a major time hurdle for many companies, especially smaller ones, and are often viewed as a form of harassment. Yet this information offers many companies an opportunity to take a closer look at their own strategic positioning. In our webinarAndreas Schweizer & Sugandhita Sugandhita of the Institute of Financial Management at ZHAW School of Management and Law, highlight how sustainability considerations are incorporated into the well-known Porter’s Five Forces industry analysis model, thereby offering companies benefits rather than just additional work.
