On 11 November 2022, the Federal Council adopted the implementing ordinance on climate disclosures for large Swiss companies and brought it into force as of 1 January 2024. This ordinance is based on the recommendation of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). For large banks and insurance companies (supervisory categories 1 and 2) in Switzerland, reporting based the TCFD recommendations are already binding through FINMA circulars 2016/1 and 2016/2.

In this context, questions may arise as to what the requirements mean for banks that have to newly implement the TCFD recommendations, what the differences to the FINMA circulars are or how the requirements compare with, for example, the newly emerging EU reporting obligations and the proposed ISSB standard.

In our webinar, Olivier Jaeggi, Managing Director & Nina Reise, Climate and ESG Risk Specialist from ECOFACT will present the TCFD recommendations in the Swiss context and address conceptual questions around this topic.

The webinar is free of charge for SBA members. For non-members, the participation fee is CHF 200, which will be invoiced after the event.

The webinar will be held in English.
