In recent years, criminal actors have developed numerous innovative techniques to abuse crypto assets for their illicit purposes. Whether using mixers, privacy coins, unregulated exchanges, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or a combination of all these services, criminals have shown remarkable ingenuity in circumventing the inherent transparency of the blockchain. The SBA’s Digital Assets Forum provides a platform for innovative projects from banks and fintechs and offers the opportunity for targeted discussion. The fourth event in this series will focus on crypto crime in Switzerland and its implications for financial market participants and the authorities.

This event is primarily aimed at those responsible for digital assets at SBA member banks. Furthermore, it is aimed at Legal & Compliance, IT and Operations experts which take interest in combatting money laundering, fraud and terrorism financing. The keynote speeches in the first part of the event will serve as the basis for a panel discussion on the potential pitfalls when handling digital assets in the regulated part of the financial services industry.

Note:

Participation is free of charge for employees of SBA member institutions. For non-members, the participation fee is CHF 200.00. This will be invoiced following the event.
